When you purchase a new water meter

A new water meter should have a lead seal or a sticker affixed to the body. On the lead seal is the year of the last metrological inspection and on the sticker - the year in which you are supposed to do the next check for accuracy. When purchasing a meter you should pay attention whether vertical installation is required. It is designated with letters A - V (A – accuracy class for vertical installation V), B - H (B – accuracy class for horizontal installation H). B is the higher class of accuracy. When water meters do not have letters A-V, they cannot be mounted vertically.
